Simon Abuchi, a 37-year-old man,  has been remanded by an Isolo Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos State, after he allegedly stabbed his neighbour, Ehis Ibhaze, over allegation of witchcraft, reports PM News.
The report has it that Abuchi had accused Ibhaze of being a wizard and waging a spiritual war against him and his family, hindering his progress and in a fight that ensued over the allegations, the convict stabbed the victim several times with a knife in the bathroom at the residence at 14, Ifelodun Street, Ilasamaja, where they both reside.

It was gathered that both men who are married with children, have been at logger heads over the allegations, just as efforts by neighbours to settle their rift proved abortive.
According their neighbours, Abuchi had accused Ibhaze of attacking him spiritually and threatened he would kill him if he did not desist from the attack on his family and on the day of the incident, he stalked the victim to the bathroom in the evening while he was taking his bath and attacked him.
It took spirited neighbours who went to the rescue of the bleeding Ibhaze and rushed him to the hospital while the incident was reported to the police after which Abuchi was arrested and charged to court.
However, the convict pleaded not guilty to the charge of attempted murder, the presiding Magistrate, Mrs Joy Ugbomoiko, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000, while ordering that he be remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail.
The matter was adjourned till November 25 , 2015
