A thief was caught in the early hours of today while robbing early risers going to work.

A member of an armed robbery gang was
nabbed early this morning when his gang laid siege to the Jumofak area
in Ikorodu, Lagos State, causing havoc and dispossessing people of their
properties as they head for work.
An
eyewitness said the bandits had been operating as early as 5.30am but
the one arrested met his doom when he attacked a woman with a dagger,
gave her cuts on her hands while trying to snatch her bag and phones.
The
lady's shout for help drew the attention of other passersby who gave
him a chase. The hapless thief was said to have been given the beating of his life before he was handed over to local security agents.
