Man who raped 2-yr-old child, also raped the mother 10 years earlier

A man who raped a woman when she was 10, has now been arrested for raping her 2-year-old daughter.

Yusuf Suleiman, a serial rapist who raped a 10-year-old girl 10 years earlier, has been arrested for allegedly raping the woman's two-year-old daughter, reports Daily Post.

Suleiman who is a friend to the father of the day, allegedly committed the act at his residence at Adamawa Street, Dutsen Kura, Minna, Niger State, was paraded by the State Police Command by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Bala Elkana.

According to Elkana, the suspect had already confessed to the crime, saying he lured the girl into his room and had carnal knowledge of her.

The girl’s mother, identified as Zainab Lawal, 20, told police she was wary of the friendship that existed between her husband and a man who had raped her as 10-year-old girl, though she did not tell anyone for fear of stigmatization.

She disclosed that Suleiman had taken her to a place where motorcycles are washed and raped her. She said her daughter was crying when she wanted to urinate and when she checked, she saw blood in the girl’s private part.

When asked, the little girl told her mother what Suleiman had done to her. The woman added that she rushed the girl to the hospital where it was confirmed that she had been defiled and reported the case to police who arrested the culprit.
