The Joint Military Task Force in the Niger Delta, Operation Delta SAFE, has arrested two militant leaders and discovered three human skulls in the ongoing military operations.

Lt.-Cdr. Thomas Otuji, the Spokesman of the taskforce said that troops raided a shrine used by militants and discovered the three human skulls.
Otuji, via a statement made available to newsmen on Friday in Yenagoa, said troops raided five shrines at Debe and Ikot Ofing in Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River on Thursday.
He said that troops on covert operation in Esighi waterside of Cross River apprehended a suspected militants’ leader found with charms, while another suspected leader was picked up at a hideout in Ikpa Road, Uyo.
Otuji also said that the air component of the Operation Delta SAFE during a reconnaissance patrol at Onne in Rivers, sighted barges of 15,000 litres of petrol concealed with green grass.
The troops also arrested three oil thieves operating illegal refineries at Bennet Island, Asugbo, in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta.
He said that the oil thieves had connected a hose linking the site to a wellhead from where crude was siphoned.
Otuji said that a locally made gun, five live cartridges, a crude laden wooden boat storage tank, seven speed boats with outboard engines were seized at the site.
He said that a kidnap victim, Mrs Roseline Duku who was abducted by gunmen at Afiesere junction in Ugheli North Local Government Area was rescued by troops in response to a distress call.
Otuji said the victim’s RAV 4 car with registration number FST 927 was however, abandoned by her abductors along Ejode Road in Ughelli while being pursued by troops.
“Troops in conjunction with the police and local vigilance group rescued the victim at Ekapkamre, Ugheli North LGA, Delta.
“Furthermore, troops deployed at Koluama in Bayelsa trailed and arrested a notorious pirate known as Labiesta, who attacked innocent citizen s at Ogubene creeks,” he added.
Otuji said that the militant had been on the wanted list of security agencies.
Otuji noted that the successes recorded by the troops in the ongoing operation were traceable to the timely information provided by members of the public and resilience of the troops.
He restated the commitment of the troops to degrade the capacity of criminals in the Niger Delta region and pledged to provide a safe environment for legitimate business to thrive in the region.

"My girlfriend's bad behaviour has pushed me to another woman, what should I do?"

I have to saythe new girl is winning my heart against my girlfriend, as my girlfriend’s attitude only keeps getting me angry.

Hello Bukky,
Please I need your advice. I have a girlfriend who I love and wish to marry someday, but the problem is that she doesn’t have good character and she doesn’t show me much love that I deserve from her.
We have been dating but we haven’t had sex yet, but I am not concerned about that because she is a virgin.
I just met another girl recently who has good character and is more beautiful than she.
I have wooed her and also told her the truth that I have a girlfriend. She understands everything and we are dating now.
[I have to say] she is winning my heart against my girlfriend, as my girlfriend’s attitude keeps getting me angry.
I am falling in love more with the new girl more because of her character.
Please advise me.
James Alex
---------------
Dear James Alex,
Thanks for reaching out.
I really can’t help but notice that you are really particular about how your partner behaves, which is absolutely understandable.
Since it appears that your girlfriend does not satisfy this criterion, I strongly advise that you call her and have a heart-to-heart conversation with her.
You have to be as honest and firm as possible when having that conversation. You should  tell her how much you want her to be with you for a long time, and how that might be impossible if she keeps up with the behaviour that’s got you this fed up of her.
As regards the other relationship, I will not mince words in telling you how wrong that is.
I understand how tired you must be of the situation with your girlfriend, but as cheating has no excuse, and this has no other name but cheating.
Please, desist from the new girl, no matter how refreshing her presence is to your soul.
You need to be a man here and do the right thing – talk to your real girlfriend. Give her reasonable time to change.
If after that she refuses to change, then you might take any other course of action that seems right to you.
Hopefully, she listens, though.
I would hate to see your relationship end.

Popular singer Banky W seems to be tired of the marriage shaming he's been getting recently.

According to him, it's not in everybody's destiny to get married.

He made this declaration while speaking in a programme on Metro fm. The 'Made for you' crooner said, "The same people who would pressurise you to get married are the people who would criticise you when you fail. Oprah Wilson changed the world but she never got married. It is not the destiny of every single person to get married."
We are not exactly surprised by this latest revelation as Banky W was recently quoted on an episode of "Da Chat" on HFTV, saying he felt no undue pressure to be married simply because everyone else is, he also maintained that he would keep the identity of his intended hidden till the wedding day.

Tega is not happy that his cousin drugged him and had sex with him; and now she wants him to continue sleeping with her or she would cry rape.
Depressed black man Depressed black man
(snitchngr)

My name is Tega, a 24-year-old student in a private university in Nigeria. I stay with my uncle and his family in Lagos who has been responsible for my upbringing after my dad's death.

Presently, I am torn between the devil and the sea because of the antics of my cousin, Kema, who has made life a hell for me after she drugged me and had sex with me.
At only 19, Kema is such a wild girl that no one, even her parents cannot control. She is in her second year in the university and the only thing she knows is partying, drinking, smoking and sex.
I still regret the day she invited me for her friend's birthday party because that was the day everything changed for me and I am full of guilt and feel very unsafe.
The party was full of young people whose only aim in life is to have fun. There was so much alcoholic drinks, drugs and cigarettes and being one who abstains from such things, I carefully rejected any invitation to partake of them.
I was comfortable with the fruit juice I was taking and refused every attempt by Kema and her friends to join them in the alcohol spree. Little did I know that she had a scheme on her mind, so when she brought me a glass of juice, I did not hesitate.
I was just sipping the slowly and the next thing I knew was that I was naked on a strange bed with my cousin and another of her friend. They too were naked and there was no doubt what must have occurred because when I looked down at my manhood, it was covered with a slimy mixture.
Kema and her friend were still busy and my first instinct was to get up fast and run as fast as my legs could carry me but I was groggy and very weak.
Sometime later, the girls woke up and started caressing me but I could not fight back because my limbs were numb from the apparent drug they had administered in my juice.
Throughout that day, Kema and her friend had sex with me as much as they wanted till they got tired and took me like a zombie back home.
I tried as much as I possibly could to avoid her but some days later, she came into my room and told me since she had already had a taste of me, I would have to continue sleeping with her or she would tell her father that I raped her.
And knowing my uncle, he would probably believe her and that would be the end of my education.
I am really in trouble here.
Tega."
Dear readers, on  Morning Teaser today, we want you to put yourselves in Tega's shoes. What would you do in his situation?

'Infants sell for the same price as bag of rice in eastern Nigeria' -Read more.

The Thomas Reuters Foundation has come up with damning evidence indicting child traffickers selling babies as for the same amount as a bag of rice.

The Thomas Reuters Foundation has made a startling revelation that newborn babies sell in the eastern parts of Nigeria for the same amount that a bag of rice goes for.

Vanguard reports that the Foundation came to this conclusion after an extensive investigation that it embarked upon to which proved that the baby factories sell babies for as low as N20,000, the same amount as a 50kg bag of rice.
An investigative team of the Thomson Reuters Foundation spoke to more than 10 Nigerian women who were tricked into giving up their newborns to strangers in the baby factories in the past two years or offered babies whose origins were unknown.
The investigation also showed that the gangs involved in the baby trade paid men to act as studs to get women pregnant, after which the mother would be taken care of and after they put to bed, the babies are taken away and sold on the cheap.
Lending credence to the report is Arinze Orakwue, the Head of Public enlightenment at the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), who said:
“The government is too overstretched by other issues to focus on baby trafficking.”
The investigative report also revealed that a record number of baby factories were raided or closed down by NAPTIP in the southeastern states of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo.
The data showed that a total of 14 were discovered in the first nine months of 2016, up from six in 2015 and 10 in 2014, the data showed.
One of the victims of the baby factories interviewed, Maria, said in the home in Imo state where she gave birth, pregnant teenagers were welcomed by a maternal nurse who liked to be called 'Mama' but went on to sell the babies they delivered.
"After I gave birth, somebody told me that Mama collected big money from people before giving them other people’s babies.
I do not know where my baby is now,” Maria said.
Another woman interviewed by the Reuters Foundation who gave her name as Sophie said she was promised a baby of any sex by a herbalist she had sought help from to assist her in conceiving.
“The herbalist said that she would bring me a newborn baby, girl or boy, depending on which one I wanted."
The herbalist allegedly told Sophie that a girl child would cost N380,000 while a boy would cost N500,000. Sophie said she opted for a girl but a sense of obligation to the woman who brought her the child prevented her from reporting the crime.
“I considered everything and thought to myself ‘why should I report the herbalist to the police?’ She had helped me,” she said.
NAPTIP does not have data on the number of domestic adoptions that have taken place, a figure it says is not held by the government.
“In the southeastern states, the sale of babies is unarguably very prevalent as recorded by the agency,” said Cordelia Ebiringa, NAPTIP’s commander in Enugu state.
Men are also said to be involved in the process of illicit baby trafficking, with sperm donors impregnating surrogate mothers who then sell their babies, according to one of the studs interviewed.
The man who gave his name as Jonathan said he was paid N25,000 by his boss every time he helped a client to become pregnant.
“I don’t see it as somebody exploiting me. The madams pay me for my work.
I know what I do is wrong and I often think ‘what if the police catch me?’ But I have to survive.
These (baby traffickers) can be dangerous. They are ready to kill anybody if you stand in their way,” Jonathan concluded.

A Federal High Court in Lagos on Thursday sentenced a 20-year-old mechanic to two years imprisonment for drug trafficking.

The convict, Samshudeen Olowu, was charged by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on a one-count charge of dealing in restricted narcotics.
Olowu, who had pleaded not guilty to the charge on his first arraignment on April 25, changed his plea and pleaded guilty at the resumed hearing on Thursday.
Following his plea, the Prosecutor, Mr Jeremiah Aernan, reviewed the facts of the case and tendered several evidence which the court admitted as exhibits.
Delivering her judgment, Justice Ishola Olatoregun, found the accused guilty as charged, and convicted him accordingly.
“The convict is hereby sentenced to a term of two years imprisonment, or an option of one million naira fine in lieu,” Olatoregun said in her judgment.
The judge also ordered that the drug remnants should be destroyed by the NDLEA within 90 days if no appeal is filed against the judgment.
Earlier, the prosecutor had told the court that Olowu was arrested on March 12 at a cannal near Aguda in Surulere area of Lagos with about 220 grams of cannabis sativa (Indian hemp).
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 11 (c) of the NDLEA Act, Cap. N30, Law of the Federation, 2004.
In his plea for mercy, the convict begged the court to temper justice with mercy and promised to be a better person if given a second chance

Olamide scores another viral party drug on ‘Orobo’

Olamide - Orobo
Olamide’s sixth studio album will be released in December, and it will definitely have rap in it.
The Nigerian rapper who has released a studio album every year since his debut in 2011, is working on maintaining his figures and keeping his momentum going, by dropping a studio album in 2016.
The new album will be released in December, as songs on the album have already been recorded. It will feature hit song ‘Who you epp’, along with other singles. No official title, artwork, and tracklist has been released.
2016 has been a big year for the rapper. Under his leadership and guidance, his record label, YBNL, has released an album (“YAGI”)  for rapper Lil Kesh, who have subsequently left the company, to found his personal imprint. It is currently still promoting Adekunle Gold’s “Gold” album. He has also began work on another of his signed rappers, Chinko Ekun, who is releasing singles.
But it is his personal project that will wrap up the year, and songs after 7 songs, he is out the with 8 one ‘Orobo.
The new song has Olamide gunning for the party as he pushes through with a new one. The amazing Fuji rendition was produced by Young Jonn and once again displays Olamide's dexterity as a lyricist.  His ability to communicate to his audience through relatable lyrics is just about what keeps Olamide on top of his game, and on ‘Orobo’ he maintains that consistency. Interestingly, on this single, Olamide creatively recreates US top charting single Panda by Desiigner with his unique razz flavour. This is ultimately another perfect song from the rapper.
Nobody knows how many of his singles since his last album will make the next full-length project. And although the rapper has kept up his work in the pop genre, he has always been sure to mix that with some Hip-hop tracks. This genre diversity has retained his credibility as a rapper, while also chasing the big bucks that comes from the pop sound.

It was a strange sight to behold after a 15-year-old girl who was presumed dead, suddenly resurrected at the cemetery where her remains were about to be lowered into the grave, New Telegraph reports.

The strange incident which happened in Warri, Delta State, according to an eyewitness, threw the community into turmoil as many people trooped to the family house of the girl to see for themselves.
It was learned that the unnamed girl was said to have died about 5am on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, and her parents took her to the cemetery later in the day for the internment but she woke up just before she was buried, sending sympathizers running helter-skelter.
“When we got to the cemetery, the workers there dug the grave for her burial. As the remains were laid into the grave and they were about covering it with sand, the deceased sneezed and jumped out of the grave and started shouting,” an eyewitness said.
However, some sources report that the girl was suspected to be pregnant  and allegedly took some concoction and went into a deep sleep which made people suspect she might have given up the ghost.
The girl was immediately rushed to a nearby church for spiritual cleansing.

Should He Tell?  Should He Tell?"Dear Pulse,

My name is Celestine, a 28-year-old young man. I happen to be the kind of guy who does not keep many friends and I don't make friends easily but when I have one, I give him my best.

Sammy has been my one and only true friend, the only one I can trust with all my heart because he has been there for me in so many ways.
In fact, Sammy is like a  brother to me and we are so close that anything that affects him affects me directly. We look out for each other and protect our interests in any way we can.
That is why I have been so wracked with guilt as I have not been able to open up to him and tell him that the woman he is planning to get married to in December is actually not worthy of him.
When Sammy introduced Kate to me last year after bumbling from one relationship to the other, I knew he was serious and really wanted to get married to her.
There was no debate on who would be the best man as we began planning for the wedding. The introductions were done with and the list from her family was okay with Sammy's family.
The date has been fixed for the wedding and we are in the process of printing the invitation cards. But I am really worried because my friend will be making a mistake if he gets married to Kate.
The reason for my position is the fact that I saw Kate with another man  going into hotel rooms.
The day I saw her, I was dumbfounded and would have vowed that my eyes were deceiving me but there she was with a man at a hotel I had gone to hang out with friends. And the man was actually booking a room.
They were inside the room for over three hours before coming out. I got close to the receptionist and asked who the lady was and she told me she was a regular customer at the hotel and often brought men to sleep with her.
The receptionist even told me Kate and other prostitutes kept their numbers with her to give to any man who needed their services.
That was when I knew she did not just come to have sex with the man but a professional prostitute.
I know many will say I should mind my business but Sammy is my best friend and does not deserve such a woman.
I am really confused on what to do. Should I tell Sammy or just keep quiet and hopes he finds out by himself?
Celestine."
Dear readers, on Morning Teaser today, we want to know if you would tell your best friend if you found out that their wife to be is a prostitute.

Police launched a probe into possible human trafficking after they were tipped off about the advertisement which appeared online for around 30 minutes on Tuesday.
The 40-day-old girl has been handed to child protection officers, police from the western city of Duisburg said in a statement.
Police raiding the couple's apartment also took away material potentially serving as evidence.
Preliminary investigations show that the advertisement was put up using the internet connection of the couple, identified by police only as "refugees".
However, police said the internet connection was also in use by other members of the family, adding that the probe was ongoing.
Bild daily reported that the online connection was not secured and could be used even in the neighbouring apartments.
"That's why other witnesses will have to be questioned," said the tabloid, adding that the baby is the couple's only child and that they have been in Germany for a year.
When questioned by police, the 28-year-old father and 20-year-old mother reportedly confirmed that the photos posted online were of their baby.
Several pictures of the black-haired infant were seen in the advertisement, which was titled "40-day-old child named Maria ...for sale", according to local media.
An eBay spokesman told national broadcaster ZDF that employees from the company had alerted authorities after noticing the advert on Tuesday.

Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed has dismissed claims that the release of 21 Chibok girls was as a result of a swap deal with the Boko Haram terrorist sect.
There were reports that the Federal Government had released four Boko Haram members in exchange for the 21 Chibok girls who were set free by the terrorist this morning.

“We can confirm that the DSS pursued the lead in collaboration with a friendly European country and a renowned international humanitarian organization. The DSS was supported by the military," he said.

Phyno strikes romantic gold in ‘Pino Pino’

You Need To Hear This if you have liked his past three singles. It’s a natural progression for him.

Phyno - Pino Pino
It’s difficult to believe that this man is one of Nigeria’s finest rapper’s. It’s been 5 months since he came through with the superhit ‘Fada fada’ together with Olamide, mostly because it has proven to be one of those songs with evergreen potential.
Since December 2015, the King of The East has been receiving mad love from making nigh-religious aspirational and thanksgiving music. ‘Connect’ was the first, which ensured that he went through the winter months with a hit ringing all around. ‘Fada fada’ came next and proved to be a bigger hit than its predecessor. His amazing follow-up ‘E sure for me’ is yet to receive the same acceptance and love shown to the rest.
But Phyno is moving on with a love song, as the Penthauze hit maker is on a very romantic path right now. He switches the narrative with ‘Pino Pino’, a new track off his forthcoming album “Playmaker P” (which is scheduled for a November release.)
Just as the three singles before it, ‘Pino Pino’ distils the sonic magic of old Eastern Highlife music, and places it in a contemporary context. The song is produced by Benjamz, with the guitars being the most prominent of all the percussions on it. Played by Soularge, it carries the song effortless, complimenting every vocal from the singer. This fits in perfectly as a ‘wedding’ song template.
With ‘Pino Pino’, Phyno further strengthens his foray into singing, as each song brings a new dimension to his singing prowess. This makes it four straight singles without a rap line shared or a bar destroyed. What’s being killed are vocals and notes. As with the previous singles, Phyno is cherry-picking the best parts of the vibrant old Highlife movement of the east and turning these elements into fresh song. He even shouts out the Oriental Brothers at the end of this one.
You Need To Hear This if you have liked his past three singles. It’s a natural progression for him.
