The Super Falcons are currently in camp ahead of their defence of the 2016 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles on Wednesday, October 12 visited the camp of the Falcons as they train for the 2016 Women Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Falcons are currently in camp ahead of their defence of the Women AFCON which kicks off his Cameroon in November 2016.
After overseeing Super Eagles' 2-1 win over Zambia in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Sunday, October 9, Rohr visited the Falcons camp to encourage them.play
The German coach was impressed with what he saw in camp and advised Super Falcons to have fun but be serious.
“You
must have a good team spirit because it is very important to not just
play together but bond together and have fun in training and in the camp
as well,” Rohr said.
"To have fun but to
be very serious. It is what we do in the Super Eagles team. We have the
family spirit of oneness and togetherness.
“Not
just like a team but to live like a family. With this, you can become
champions again. And I am going to be in Cameroon to support you.
"I see some girls
here today but I know that professionals will join them very soon. Very
good players, some of them play in big countries like USA, Sweden,
France.
“The other teams in Nigeria group don't have many of such players I think. So, it's a good team and you also have experience."
Head Coach of the Super Falcons, Florence Omagbemi on Monday, October 10 released a 30-man list invited to camp.
Just eight of the 30 invite are foreign based players while the other 22 are home-based.
Reigning Africa Woman Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala leads the overseas –based contingent while Osinachi Ohale leads the home –based.
