In a video shared by the NFF, Iwobi looks lost as Super Eagles players and officials dance and sing along to local songs.
Despite making his Super Eagles debut a year ago, Alex Iwobi is yet to adapt to ways of his international teammates.
A
new video shows Iwobi looking lost as the Super Eagles players sing and
dance to local gospel songs on their way to the game against Zambia
which they won 2-1.
As the Super Eagles players and officials sing and clap to the local songs, the Arsenal forward who was sitting beside captain John Mikel Obi in the bus looked lost.
Not to be completely left out, the 20-year-old joined his teammates in clapping but could not sign along to the songs.
Although
he was born in Lagos, Nigeria Iwobi moved to England at the early age
of four, which explains why he is not familiar with the local songs.
On the field, however, Iwobi has settled into the Super Eagles squad, scoring in the 2-1 win over Zambia.
Before the game against Zambia, he scored a brace in a warm-up friendly against Plateau United.
