Idris Abu, who is being held at the Kirikiri Prisons has confessed to the crime of sexually abusing his 2-year-old daughter.

Abu, who is a resident of Agege was arraigned by the Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for indecent treatment of a child.
He was however straightforward and honest in his plea. He admitted his guilt before Magistrate T. A. Elias who ordered that he be remanded in prison till final sentence is given.
Rachael Donny who is the case prosecutor told the court that the accused inserted his finger in the private part of his daughter.
This happened on July 29, 2016 at his residence.
“The accused always inserted one of his fingers into his baby’s private part, ignoring her cries”,
“The baby used to cry in the middle of the night; whenever the mother rushed to the room she caught her husband naked with their daughter, with his manhood erected while he was dipping his finger in her vagina.”
This contravenes Section 135 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011 which carries seven years imprisonment for those convicted.
