The herbalist was remanded in prison following an accusation that he
used charm to sleep with a woman who died after the encounter.

A herbalist named Bunmi Popoola has been remanded in prison for using charm to have sex with a woman, leading to her death.
The decision to hold the accused in prison was made by the Ilorin Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.
This was following Popoola's not guilty plea during the court session.
Adewumi Johnson, a prosecutor in the case told the court that the accused treated the deceased following an illness in the year 2014.
After
the treatment, he reported invited her over to his residence where he
had sexual intercourse with her and told her not to disclose the
incident to anyone.
She however reported the matter to a monarch, Oba of Odo-Owa, Joshua Ademola who invited him to his palace.
Magistrate Ahmed Immam has adjourned the case till October 18, 2016 while the accused remains in prison.
