Super eagel player reacts to release of 21 chibok girls

The Federal Government on Thursday, October 13 confirmed the release of 21 girls from the 200 abducted by Boko Haram in 2014.

Captain of the Nigeria’s Senior national football team, John Mikel Obi has expressed his delight in the release of 21 Chibok girls.

 The Federal Government on Thursday, October 13 confirmed the release of 21 girls from the 200 abducted by Boko Haram in 2014.  Mikel took to Twitter to express his delight at the news.
 
The midfielder was recently in Nigeria ahead of Super Eagles 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia which they won 2-1.
While in Nigeria he took out to time to partake in some charity works which involve Borno State, where Chibok is located.
The 29-year-old is seen in a photo shared on Twitter holding a placard which reads ‘#Empower Borno’.
The #Empower Borno is a campaign to redevelop and empower Borno state which was ravaged by constant attack from Boko Haram
